Finally, midterms are coming...!! But this is my first and last midterm at SJTU since I do not have one for my other classes. It is usually taking place in week eight or nine depending on which class you are taking. Similar to UH, you may have a midterm or not depending on your professor or the course requirements. You will be notified by your professor for the time and location of the midterm, but it should be in the same classroom and class time as your course. I think for midterm, it is similar to the ones at UH, because for my situation, it consists of multiple choices, true or false, and analytical questions. Also, you do not need to worry about bringing a #2 pencil because you do not need to fill out a scantron. You will be given a test paper where you would write down your answers there.
Make up classes
Whenever there are Chinese holidays going on, classes will be cancelled, but at the same time, you will need to make up classes on Saturday or the following Saturday. You will be notified ahead of time for any changes, so you do not need to worry about it. Not all classes have to make up though, because for national day, you will have a week off, and only Tuesday and Friday's class will be rearranged. This is different from UH since we do not need to make up classes if there's a holiday going on.
